Mitchell

Tuesday 17th July 2018

Last night we went to the Cosmos Center Night Observatory.  It was freezing they do hand out blankets and we were dressed in our winter woollies including beanies and gloves and it was still really cold.  We saw stars of different colours and we saw Jupiter and its four moons and Saturn with its rings that were amazingly clear.  Really good night just cold.

After another freezing night we continued on to Mitchell to defrost in the thermal pools.  Not as warm as Lightening Ridge or Moree but still nice.

In the afternoon we continued on to Roma where Michael got phone reception again for the first time since leaving Victoria.  Yay  You wouldn't believe how excited he was.

These bottles trees are planted in all the streets in Roma to commemorate the soldiers from the Roma District who lost their lives in the first world war.
